Politics:

This is not a political event. While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, please leave yours at home.

 

Age Restriction:

This event is for ages 18 and up. Absolutely no children allowed. You will be required to show identification upon entry. 

*You will be required to show identification, if you are to purchase an alcohol alcoholic beverage from the bar. The legal drinking age is 21 and up.

 

Alcohol Policy:

No outside alcohol allowed.

 

Smoking/Vaping:

This is a no smoking/no vaping event. Please smoke/vape at least 100 feet away from the building, either in your own personal car or in designated smoking areas within the city limits of downtown Fayetteville, N.C.

 

Drugs/Illegal Substances:

This is a drug-free event. Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

 

Pet Policy:

No pets allowed.

 

Weapons Policy:

Except for sworn certified law enforcement personnel, the open-carry of firearms at Write Me Romance & Fantasy Book Con special event area is prohibited. The following is a list of dangerous items prohibited:

• Weapons: Knives of any size, switchblades, tasers, stun guns, brass knuckles, and martial arts weapons.

• Replica Weapons: Toy guns, water guns, slingshots, and realistic weapon replicas.

• Projectiles & Thrown Items: Glass containers/bottles, heavy metal containers, rocks, or large balls.

• Flammables & Explosives: Fireworks, road flares, sparks, aerosol products, and gas torches.

• Sharp/Pointed Items: Spikes, chains, chain wallets, laser pointers, and large umbrellas.

• Restricted Tools: Hammers, saws, screwdrivers, or crowbars.

• Any other objects not mentioned, but deemed a threat or dangerous are  prohibited.
